MetaEdit+ 3.0 database updates

These pages allow you to download new language specifications for MetaEdit+ and MetaEdit+ Workbench.

The modeling languages supported are updated periodically, and thus if you do not find a specific modeling language contact us at metaedit.support@metacase.com. Also, if you have made your own language specifications with MetaEdit+, we in MetaCase are interested in sharing them through our method pages. In this case, please send your language specifications by email to info@metacase.com.

Please also check the basic Type Patches information page.

Modeling languages

OML and BON are available - contact info@metacase.com for details.

New databases

You can use these as the basis for your work, or log in and export only those reports and type updates you want, then import the changes to your existing database.

db30r.zip (size 1 015 754 bytes)
This new database contains only types, updated for Service Release 1. Its main features are improvements in documentation reports, and scalable custom property dialogs. It also replaces the Parameter type from the UML project with a new Parameter type in the mcc project.
demo30r.zip (size 1 832 941 bytes)
This is the same as db30r, but with some example models.
patch30u.zip (size 1 874 459 bytes)
These patches can be filed in to the similarly-named area of a standard Service Release 1 database to update the types. For the new examples for the 'demo' database, Family Tree.pat and Watch.pat, you should first create new projects with those names.

Known problems

In UML Collaboration Diagram, there is an error in the Dependency binding (corrected in Service Release 2).

  1. From the Main Launcher, choose Repository | Open Project... | UML (if it is not already open)
  2. From the Main Launcher, choose Metamodel | Metamodel Browser
  3. In the middle list of the Metamodel Browser, double-click Collaboration Diagram to open it in a Graph Tool
  4. In the Graph Tool, press the Bindings button to open a Bindings Tool
  5. In the left list of the Bindings Tool, select Dependency [UML]
  6. In the middle list, there are two empty entries. Click in the top of the middle list, and choose Delete from the pop-up menu. Repeat.
  7. In the middle list, choose Add... from the pop-up menu, and select Client
  8. In the right list, choose Add.. from the pop-up menu, and select Object [UML] and Package
  9. In the middle list, choose Add... from the pop-up menu, and select Supplier
  10. In the right list, choose Add.. from the pop-up menu, and select Object [UML] and Package
  11. In the Graph Tool, press the Modify button to accept these changes
  12. You can now test the changes in any Collaboration Diagram (remember to delete any such unwanted test graphs before committing).
  13. Commit the transaction to save the changes to the repository
